Gamification – Theories, Case Studies and Missions:
Gamification, in its most common meaning, is the use of mechanics associated to games and more specifically to video games, in a not entertaining environment. Another definition, less technical and closer to reality because the application of these techniques is not always obvious, is that gamification is the best way to convert a task traditionally intended to be tedious into a memorable experience for the performer.
